Afya Foundation distributes unused medical supplies and equipment

The Organization: AFYA FOUNDATION

The Cause: Afya Foundation is sending lifesaving supplies to medical teams on the ground in Haiti. Righteous Crowd previously funded Afya Foundation in 2020. In the 2020 interview Founder and CEO Danielle Butin said: "Afya's heart beats tikkun olam. We believe it is our responsibility to respond to those in need, wherever and whoever they may be."

The Reason: On August 14th a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, killing over 2,200 people and injuring more than 12,000. Afya is mobilizing to send lifesaving supplies to people on the ground in Haiti.
